TVCRA sessions at Ilton for 2009 

TVCRA training sessions at Merryfield aerodrome,Ilton now on every Tuesday, 6.30pm (moving to 7pm when light improves) (You can turn up earlier if you would like to get some miles in before the sessions start.) The sessions are open to all ages and abilities, there are various groups and you can stop,start and join back in as you wish. Social riders who would just like to ride around the 3.5 mile circuit at their leisure are welcome too. The cost for the year is £15 , please bring your money on the first night. To ride, your Chard Wheelers membership must be paid up for 2009, so if you have not renewed your membership you can bring that on the night as well. Formal youth training sessions start in May.

 

Guest Riders

Riders may take part in two sessions as ‘guests’ of a TVCRA club on a come and try it basis before paying their membership fees.

 

· Your club will issue passes to all its TVCRA members. From mid April these will be checked by security at the gate and no pass, no access.

· All riders must sign on every week with the representative of the organising club and collect a number. No riders are permitted on the circuit without a number. Please, all numbers must be returned at the end of the night to ensure all riders are accounted for.

 

Cycles and Clothing

· Tri-bars or similar extensions are not permitted on any bikes during normal sessions and all wheels must have 16 spokes or more, no tri-spokes (or similar construction) or discs are permitted (except when riding a Time Trial on the designated nights).

 

· A suitable hard shell safety helmet must be worn at all times when on the circuit.

 

Time Trial Evenings

· For time trial nights (to be held on the last Tuesday of each month) all riders or teams (the team must sign on together at the same time, maximum 5 riders) must sign on by 1830 stating which distance they wish to ride (3 or 6 laps). Bunch riding will continue on these nights but time trials have priority. Any CTT approved equipment including  Tri-bars or similar extensions, tri spokes, disc wheels, and Low Profile bicycles are permitted for these nights, but must not be ridden in a bunch at any time.

A hard shell safety helmet must be worn for these events.

 

First Aid

· A suitable first aid kit will be kept at the gate house; all members who are first aid trained are requested to take appropriate action as per their training if required.

 

Annual Team Time Trial

· The TVCRA 4 up TTT, Tuesday 23rd June, any teams are welcome, although there will be a small additional entry fee for non-TVCRA registered clubs. All clubs entering teams are requested to supply 2 people to help as required on the night. Further details will follow.
